Computer repair and diagnostics
For fast, reliable diagnosis of your computer or device issues, we are your BEST CHOICE if you want your computer or device to run OPTIMALLY! We give a prompt diagnosis and complete most software and hardware repairs within 5-8 business days. Faster return times are available upon request for a fee.
Laptop repair
We offer full-service repair for your laptop computer. This includes repairs such as screen replacement, DC jack repair, and top/bottom case replacement. Most laptop hardware repairs are completed in 5-8 business days. We also will address any secondary software configurations that might be making your machine run less than optimally.
Virus, spyware adware removal
Adware and Spyware are not just a nuisance, but can also put your computer and personal data at risk. When we clean an infection from your machine, we remove infected items from your registry, clear temporary files, use several industry-leading programs to eliminate hidden viruses, reset broken internet links/browsers, and much more to ensure the security and safety of your machine. We follow a thorough quality checklist to ensure your machine is 100% infection-free when we return it to you. Our turn-around time for this service is just 1-3 business days.
System Upgrades
If you need more memory to enhance computer speed, a faster video card to play a new game that has been released, or if you’d like a solid-state hard drive to make your computer or device more speedy and powerful, we have your upgrade. We carry many basic upgrades in stock; however, if you would like a more custom upgrade such as a water-cooler, we can order any custom hardware that’s needed the day we talk to you, then typically, within 2-3 days, we will receive the components and begin working on your upgrade.
Desktop Repair and Optimization
Over time, computers start to run slower for many reasons. Sometimes it is as simple as extra programs running in the background that are not visible on the screen. These programs have been installed, (covertly piggy-backed on legitimate programs), to set their default settings to start with your computer to make programs open quicker when you click on them. They might also sync with an email account or update an app or program behind the scenes, slowing your computer down.
We will discover what is slowing your computer, and eliminate any unnecessary covert programs. These small changes can give new life to older computers by freeing up their RAM to enhance speed. Repair time for desktop optimizing is typically less than 3 days.
Data Backup and Recovery
Data is important. Your data might contain precious memories or hours of hard work, but either one is irreplaceable. Our goal is to help you set up a back-up solution that will ensure that you never have to worry about needing data recovery. We will equip you to protect your data, or in the event that you have lost data due to power outage, hardware failure, or just because you accidentally deleted a file, we will do everything in our power to restore your data. Moreover, we will do what we can to prevent loss of data in the first place. Repair time for data recovery varies. Please call to discuss time frame for your specific situation.
Hardware and Peripheral Recycling
We accept various home and office, computer or electronics-related hardware for recycle. We take printers and computer peripherals, computers, monitors, tube TV's and CRT monitors, cords, phones, and much more! All recycling is free, and often, we will use what you give us to refurbish computers to help service our single parents program. TV's and CRT's are accepted during normal business hours. About The Owner
My name is Steven W. Nickerson, Sr. I am a born-again Christian, family man, and patriot/veteran. I have been happily married to my wife, Sherrie, for 40 years, and together, we have raised nine beautiful children. With over 25 years of experience in the computer information technology field, my expertise is extensive. I served in the Air Force, stationed at the Pentagon for 3.5 years, at the NSA for another 3.5 years, and at Offutt Air Force Base for 2 years for the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). Computer repair, services, and operations became my forte during my time in the Air Force. I have avidly repaired and maintained computers since then. Bringing my first computer home in 1983 marked the beginning of a beloved hobby. I have also worked as an IT technician at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and eBay. Upon leaving the Air Force in 1992 and after several odd jobs, I continued to immerse myself in the world of computers. It was then recommended that I start my own business offering repair services to homeowners. Spotting a need in the market, I knew I could fulfill it both professionally and with a personal touch.

Your stress-free computer-support experience with Affordable Computer Repair also includes reliable antivirus protection.
Annual payment via credit card is $400.00 and is non-refundable should you choose to discontinue your membership. ACH monthly payments via credit card is $39.99, and can be cancelled with 30 days advance notice. The Comprehensive Remote Support Program covers up to 3 household or in-house computers and provides a 35% discount on labor for all computers that are brought in to the shop for hardware repairs (costs for needed hardware components not included).

Single Parent Program
I am offering free computer repair to single parents in need. If you know a worthy individual, please share their contact details and their story to explain why they deserve this gesture. My aim is to assist one single parent weekly. I must mention, however, that not all single parents can be served, and therefore, a nominee will be selected at random. While I am eager to help, my ability to complete the repair depends on its cost. Fortunately, 95% of computer repairs involve labor, which I am willing to donate. I intend to utilize used or refurbished parts when available. Should anyone wish to contribute funds for parts, please visit the shop, or contact me via message or phone at 402-953-0001. All contributions will solely fund the purchase of necessary parts.
