Affordable Computer Repair began in 2003, when Steve started repairing computers part-time from his home just west of Oakland, Nebraska. As the business grew, he purchased the company's first commercial property in Oakland in 2005.

Affordable Computer Repair later expanded to Bellevue, where the shop handles laptop repair, desktop repair, computer diagnostics, virus and malware removal, data recovery and SSD and memory upgrades for local residents, military families, veterans, Offutt Air Force Base area customers and the surrounding Omaha metro communities. We handle laptop screen and hinge repair, desktop repair, virus and malware removal, gaming PC repair and Mac repair here in Bellevue. What started as a small local repair business grew through repeat customers, referrals and a commitment to straightforward, honestly priced computer repair.

How we run the shop

Affordable Computer Repair is a local, independently operated computer repair shop. The technician working on your computer is responsible for determining what's wrong — whether that's a machine with no power, no display, a laptop that won't boot, a failed hard drive, an overheating desktop or a Windows problem — and explaining the repair options clearly. Customers describe that work as knowledgeable and professional. We use modern tools and automated communication to make service more convenient, but the diagnosis, repair decisions and responsibility for the work stay right here.

That's also why we offer a free counter consultation. Come in, tell us what's happening, and we'll talk through the likely next step — including when the honest answer is that your computer isn't worth fixing. If the computer needs bench testing, disassembly or more extensive troubleshooting, we'll explain what is involved before checking it in, and we keep you updated while it's on the bench. It's a friendly, counter-first shop, not a call center.

Our guarantee

Steven guarantees his work: you have 30 days from the day you pick up your computer to check it over. If the trouble is related to the original reason for service, there is no additional labor charge to make it right.

Giving back

Each week one eligible nomination is selected at random through our Single Parent Program, and Affordable Computer Repair donates the repair labor. The shop also accepts free e-waste recycling from anyone in the community. Usable hardware from one feeds the other.
