Freeconsultations at the counter — bring it in and talk it through with us.
Can I talk to someone before committing to a repair?+

Yes. We offer a free counter consultation. Bring your computer in during business hours, tell us what's happening, and we'll talk through the likely next step. Some problems can be identified during that conversation. If the computer needs bench testing, disassembly or more extensive troubleshooting, we'll explain what's involved before checking it in, and we'll tell you what we found and what the repair costs before proceeding.

Do I need an appointment?+

No — walk-ins are welcome during business hours. Booking a drop-off time ahead means you're in and out faster.

Where are you located?+

509 W Mission Ave, Bellevue, NE 68005. We serve Bellevue, Omaha, Papillion, La Vista, Council Bluffs, and the surrounding Sarpy and Douglas County area.

What kinds of computers do you repair?+

Windows PCs, laptops, desktops, custom-built and gaming machines, and Apple Macs. Our technicians work with all major brands and operating systems.

How long will my repair take?+

It depends on the problem, parts availability, and the current workload. As a general guide, most software and hardware repairs run 5–8 business days, virus and malware clean-ups are typically 1–3 business days, and custom-ordered parts usually arrive in 2–3 days. Faster return is available on request for a fee. Data recovery timing varies — call us to talk it through.

Is your work guaranteed?+

Yes. You have 30 days from the day you pick up your computer to check it over. If the trouble is related to the original reason for service, there's no additional labor charge to make it right.

Can I check my repair status online?+

Yes — use the Check Repair Status page to look up your ticket in our RepairQ system any time.

Do you offer remote support?+

Yes. Home-IT Pro is our ongoing remote support membership for residential customers and personally owned home computers. It includes remote technical support, proactive monitoring, Windows update and patch management, and remote troubleshooting and maintenance. For covered home-use computers under an active plan, repair labor at Affordable Computer Repair is included; if a repair requires replacement parts, the customer pays for the parts. Business computers, servers, business networks and commercial equipment are not included unless covered under a separate business service agreement. Current pricing is on the Home-IT page.

What forms of payment do you accept?+

Cash, major credit cards, and local checks.

Do you recycle old electronics?+

Yes, and it's free. Electronics recycling is available 24/7 through our recycling trailer — computers, laptops, televisions, CRT equipment, printers, peripherals, cords and phones can be dropped off at any time. Computers that require data removal and working computers being donated for reuse through our Single Parent Program should be brought inside during normal business hours so we can properly receive and process them. If you're unsure whether an item is accepted, call 402-953-0001 before dropping it off.

What happens when I call the shop?+

Call Affordable Computer Repair at 402-953-0001. Our AI phone assistant can answer many routine questions, provide service information, help with scheduling, and assist returning customers. If you need Steve or someone at the shop directly, we'll help get you to the right next step. The repair work itself is always handled locally at our Bellevue shop.

Who can be nominated for the Single Parent Program?+

Qualifying single parents or guardians who are the primary caregiver of a K–12 school-age child. Friends, relatives, teachers, coworkers and community members may nominate someone they believe could benefit — applicants may not nominate themselves. One eligible recipient is selected at random each week. Affordable Computer Repair donates the labor and, whenever possible, uses donated, used or refurbished parts to help complete the repair at no cost to the selected recipient.
